The Office

We went to visit Jeff at his office yesterday. This was our first visit in quite a while, and Grace had a great time seeing where Daddy spends so much time, and I think their proud daddy enjoyed showing off his cute kids to a few co-workers. Jeff took Grace to the kitchen and filled a cup with water from the cooler. On the way home, she told me that was her favorite thing about is office. That, and all the paper. Ah...simple pleasures!

When I asked Grace what fun thing she'd like to do this weekend she said, "Go to Daddy's office!" I don't think Jeff's going to go for that. :)

Mirror, Mirror, On the Wall

Charlie has a new favorite spot in the house. If I need to get something done upstairs, this is where he spends his time. He LOVES playing with that cute baby in the mirror. And, of course, Grace is usually in on the fun. She has spent MANY a nap playing with herself in the mirror, so she's an old pro at this game!

Pumpkin Time!

Grace and I recently checked a book out from the library called Pumpkin Time! She knew our trip to the pumpkin patch was coming this weekend, so all week long she told just about everybody, "It's almost pumpkin time!"

The wait was finally over today as we headed to Fall City Farms to pick our pumpkins. Over the past 3 years, we have visited 3 different pumpkin patches. This one was our favorite! They had a huge pumpkin patch with an abundance of pumpkins to choose from, a tractor ride, a small hay maze just the right size for Grace, and several animals to visit, including a horse and donkey who broke out of their pen while we were there! Oh, and did I mention the fresh-out-of-the-fryer doughnuts. Mmmmmm....my mouth is still watering!

Needless to say, we had a great "Pumpkin Time" and came home with four perfect pumpkins and lots of good memories. I'm not sure what it is about the pumpkin patch that causes me to take so many pictures, but it happens every year. I apologize for the picture overload. =)

The great pumpkin hunt begins!

The chosen four

All that pumpkin searching worked up a good appetite!

Charlie checks out the tractor that looks strangely similar to a toy he has at home.

Jeff and Grace ended our trip to the pumpkin patch with a tractor ride around the farm.

A Visit to the Farm

Today we visited The River Valley Cheese Farm in Fall City. It was part of The Harvest Celebration Farm Tour, a yearly event that allows us city folk to visit a variety of farms and get a small taste of farm life. We chose to visit this particular farm for two reasons. One, it was the closest one to our house, and two, they have BABY cows and goats. (The free cheese samples were an added bonus!)

Grace had a great time visiting the animals until she turned around and a calf was about an inch and a half away from her face with his tongue ready to lick her. She freaked out, but who wouldn't? Jeff didn't like it much when the same calf tried to chew his jeans. We didn't end up spending much time visiting these little cutie pies.

While we were there we also got to watch people milk goats, taste some freshly made cheese, and listen to a story teller. It was fun to show Grace an example of where the food we eat actually comes from. We're already looking forward to this event next year and are hoping to visit a few more farms on the tour!

Sitting Up

Charlie has a new trick! He can sit up all by himself!

I don't really know how he feels about it, but I am very excited! This is my favorite baby stage. He's happy to sit up and play on his own but isn't on the move yet. Now if I can just keep Grace from "helping him"...aka knocking him over! =)

Giggles

Some babies get fussy when they're over tired. Charlie gets the giggles.

Half a Year

Then...

Now...

My, how time flies! I wish it would slow down a little!
