Summer Fun List

Next week, Grace will finish up her year of preschool, and we will be back in control of our schedule. Yippee! Preschool has been such a great experience for her, but with her going in the afternoon, it has really limited our free time this year. I am SO excited for the summer and all the opportunities to have fun with my kiddos. Since Grace will be starting Kindergarten in the fall, and Charlie will be starting preschool, I have an extra sense of urgency this summer to make the very most of our time together. We sat down this morning and made a list of all the things we want to do this summer. It looks like we've got a lot of fun in store!

1. Play in the sprinkler
2. Go camping
3. Ride a ferry boat
4. Paint on the sidewalk
5. Go to the sprinkler park
6. Fry an egg on the sidewalk
7. See a movie in the theater
8. Play in the lake
9. Meet friends at the park
10. Go to the zoo
11. Have a picnic at Kelsey Creek
12. Walk to the library
13. Fly a kite
14. Go to a Mariner's game
15. Package meals for kids in Africa
16. Secretly leave flowers on people's doorsteps
17. Go on a hike to see a waterfall
18. Do Summer Reading Program at the library
19. Make (and eat!) popsicles
20. Run in a race

Both kids also set goals for the summer. Grace wants to learn to ride her bike without training wheels and read all of her BOB books. Charlie wants to learn to balance on his bike.

We posted the list on the wall so we can cross things off as we complete them. We also love to have friends along, so we're hoping lots of you will join us on our outings! It's going to be a great summer!! (Now come on sunshine....!!)
